Project Overview

Workplace Academy is a gamified corporate training app designed to support continuous employee development while aligning learning with organizational goals. The platform delivers an interactive learning experience through courses, videos, quizzes, webinars, and a collaborative network for knowledge sharing.

The Challenge

Many organizations struggle to keep employees engaged in traditional training programs and often fail to align learning initiatives with strategic business outcomes. The challenge was to design an engaging, accessible, and scalable solution that embeds continuous learning into employees' daily workflows.

My Role
• Conducted user research and competitive benchmarking
• Created personas and user journey maps
• Defined navigation flow and information architecture
• Built a comprehensive Design System
• Led usability testing and iterative improvements
• Prepared design handoff documentation for developers

Research & Discovery
The design process began with in-depth research focused on:
• Understanding corporate training goals and challenges
• Studying employee learning behaviors
• Defined navigation flow and information architecture
• Benchmarking industry best practices in LXP (Learning Experience Platforms)
Based on insights, I developed user personas (e.g., new hires, field workers, managers) and mapped the ideal user journey, ensuring a seamless, goal-oriented learning path.

Ideation & UX Design
• Developed low-fidelity wireframes to define structure and visual hierarchy
• Prioritized usability, accessibility, and intuitive navigation
• Applied core UX principles: simplicity, consistency, and visual clarity

UI Design & Design System
• Created a clean, professional, and branded UI aligned with corporate identity
• Built a robust Design System with reusable components and clear usage guidelines
• Ensured design consistency and scalability across the entire platform

Prototyping & User Testing
• Delivered a high-fidelity interactive prototype with 50+ screens in Figma
• Simulated key flows: onboarding, dashboard, learning paths, rewards system, etc.
• Conducted usability testing with target users and gathered actionable feedback
• Implemented refinements to improve navigation, engagement, and clarity

Handoff & Documentation
Created detailed handoff files for development, including:
• Layout specs, color and typography guidelines
• Component behavior and interaction rules
• Complete user flows and logic
